BECOME A CHANGE-MAKER
MONTHLY DONOR 

It’s the easiest way to support our work and provides a stable source of income to the Centre, ensuring maximum impact for the women we serve. For as little as $25 month you can create a ripple in your community!

 
Donate $25 a Month

$25 a month provides a woman with grocery assistance each month.

Donate $50 a Month

$50 a month supports a woman in the year-long program Making Changes, where she will build the confidence and communication skills needed to move forward in her journey.

$82 a month supports a woman in both Enterprising Careers and Financial Empowerment, where she can begin building a career for herself and learn to handle finances independently. 

Donate $131 a Month

$131 a month sponsors a woman in One-on-One Counselling to ensure she receives the support she needs to exit abusive relationships safely.

Contact our Executive Director to discuss how you can create a legacy with a planned gift, donation of stocks, securities or life insurance. Please ensure you also seek advice from your financial and legal advisors if you would like to explore this option.

Fundraising activities come in all shapes and sizes – as simple or as complex as you like. They can be conducted in a variety of environments including the home, office, or throughout the community. Some third party fundraising ideas include:

How We Can Help…
• Provide printed information about Women’s Centre of York Region for hand-out or display purposes
• Offer fundraising staff and volunteer support to provide guidance and assistance

• Issue tax receipts if appropriate

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at Women’s Centre of York Region. Our team of volunteers is essential to the realization of our mission.

Women’s Centre of York Region is an equal opportunity volunteer placement provider. Volunteer placement will only be based on qualifications and volunteer position requirements.


STEPS TO BECOMMING A VOLUNTEER

1. Be 16 years of age or older.
2. Submit an online application.
3. Attend an in-person interview.
4. Submit references and provide a Vulnerable Sector Screening (Police Check)
5. Attend an orientation session.
