ABOUT WINTER WARMTH
As the cold months settle in and the holidays draw near, many women and children in our community face a very different season, one marked by struggle rather than celebration. For families living in poverty or escaping abuse, even the basics, like warm clothing, groceries, and small gifts, can feel out of reach. Winter Warmth is our annual fundraiser that brings comfort, dignity, and hope, ensuring families have what they need not just to get through winter, but to find moments of joy within it.
WHY WE NEED YOUR HELP
Winter is especially hard for families already struggling financially. As gender-based violence rises and the cost of living continues to climb, more women and children in our community are facing overwhelming challenges, often while trying to leave an unsafe home or rebuild their lives. Your support means a mom doesn't have to choose between keeping her children warm and giving them a holiday to remember. Together, we can make sure no family faces this season alone.
How You Can Make a Difference
We all know the joy of picking out the perfect gift for a loved one, especially for our children.
Through Winter Warmth, you can give that same joy and relief to families in need.
Here’s how you can help:
Donate Online
Every dollar you give provides direct support to women and children in need. Donate online and receive an instant tax receipt.
Sponsor a Family
Provide targeted support to specific women and children. Fill out our sponsorship form by November 15, 2026 and we’ll match you with a family in need.
Host a Mini Fundraiser
Gather friends, family, or colleagues and collect gift cards for grocery stores, Walmart, or prepaid credit cards. Together, you’ll provide warmth and relief to families this winter.
Engage Your Workplace or School
Challenge your workplace, school, or other groups to join in. Many hands make light work, and your efforts can spread warmth across our entire community.
If you would like to be matched to a family and receive a family profile, please get in touch. Monetary donations will be accepted until February 2027, and used toward families who are not sponsored.
