The Women’s Centre of York Region is proud to introduce Women Leading Change, our inaugural digital publication that honours ten women whose leadership, experiences, and contributions are making a lasting impact in our communities.

Through their personal and professional stories, we celebrate the diverse forms of leadership and recognize the women who are helping to shape a stronger and more inclusive future.

Women Leading Change is not just a celebration of leadership; it also serves as a platform to unite our community around a shared goal: to help women and families access the support, resources, and opportunities they need to thrive.

Since 2020, intimate partner violence has surged, and rates have kept rising steadily over the years. Behind those numbers are women in York Region who are living with violence and abuse, or who are struggling to keep their families housed, fed, and safe.

#HelpKeepHerSafe is WCYR's year-round campaign to make sure she doesn't have to face it alone. Your donation helps us provide counselling, employment support, housing assistance, and the necessities of life, so women and their families can rebuild their lives with dignity and hope.
